Datalink performance
The datalink simulation on the server side has received a large performance increase. It was the main reason for slowdowns on big missions with a lot of units.
If you had disabled the datalink simulation for performance reasons, please give it another try: it should now run fine even on large missions.
Licensing fix
A valid license key could be rejected after a DCS crash or a bad exit, leaving LotAtc in demo mode while your license was perfectly valid. This is now fixed.
Client fixes
The comment cell edit field is visible again in the objects table
Docks keep their default title after a restart, instead of the name of the last selected item

The LotAtc 2.x branch stays in maintenance mode. The work continues on LotAtc 3.0: new map engine, new terrain engine, UI rework, network protocol update and many new features.

The Configurator now lets you manage and edit your server files directly:

Speed vector minute marks
Speed vectors can now display a tick at each minute, giving a quick read of where each aircraft will be over time.

(LotAtc Advanced) NAV GRID
A new F-14 compatible NAV GRID overlay: a navigation grid of angular sectors and concentric rings, each cell having a short voice code (for example 07B) so you can call a contact’s position with a single code.

Better speed and altitude orders with DCS (Link no longer interrupts the unit’s current task)
Link automatically disables when LotAtc is not active, and stops if something goes wrong between Link and server

Reworked lua logs and several server fixes (ATIS templates loading, airport radial speed, late-spawn units, flight plan, onboard number, crash on mission restart)

It also reverts the radar attitude applied to the radar detection. This new feature made the AWACS cone affected by the plane pitch/bank and could cause contact loss. It adds more realism but I got a lot of negative feedback on that, so I reverted it.
It will be reintroduced in 2.7 with the large radar update but with an option in the profile to enable/disable it. It will allow everyone to choose their level of realism!

major speed improvements for large missions (CPU time divided by 50 to 80 times)!
Once the 2.7.0 is out, LotAtc 2.x branch will be in maintenance, the work will focus on LotAtc 3.0 and the major rework of the app!

This year, 2026 will see the release of LotAtc 3.0 with a new map engine, new terrain engine, UI rework, network protocol update and many new features. I have been working hard on it, and even though I am running late (due to a heavy workload on the professional side), it is not far off! 🚀
In the meantime, I have released version 2.6.0. This version improves stability and adds enhancements, including support for DCS FARP.
